For people who want to DIY their garden design, but are looking for input on how to enhance habitat around their home and advice on great plant choices for their site conditions.

A consultation is basically a 1-2 hour site visit where we walk around your yard and discuss your goals and preferences, garden design features and creatures you’d love to see. Then I send a write up of design suggestions, habitat suggestions, and a plant list based on our time together.

If you’re looking for more structured garden design and plant placement map, this option is for you. After an initial site visit, we would have a follow up meeting to look over plant choices for your specific site. Based on your ecological priorities and the plants you like the most, I will put together a garden design.

A design consists of a lovely foot by foot garden map, showing where each plant will go and illustrating how the garden will transition though the growing season.

If you don’t want to mess with laying the plants out according to the design, or the thought of putting in the garden alone seems daunting (because it can be a lot of plants!). I agree! You don’t want to do it alone. I don’t want to do it alone! Let’s do it together.

With this option, after we do the consultation/site visit, plant choice discussion, and you’ve sheet mulched an area (which don’t worry, it’s easy and we’ll go over it in detail), and I’ve drawn up a design, we’ll set aside typically 2 to 4 mornings to plant together. I’ll show up early, start placing plants for an hour or two, and then we’ll get to work on getting them planted -invite your friends and family to a planting party! Nothing more fun than getting an amazing garden planted together.
